Scams these days are getting more sophisticated, precise and more believable, but what if I said that you could catch a scam well before it catches you?
Scams are getting better and more real, but because scammers are thinking about the bigger parts of a scam, they can be caught by the little parts.
Take a Facebook scam page for example, they don't type what the page is about and what the company does, like the ACTUAL company will, they often forget to type the history of the company, and they forget about the Facebook page transparency which tells you about the history of the page, including any past names it may have had.
They can also mess up where website domains are concerned, and of course an internal Facebook search will find the authentic page for the specific company, and a Google search will also help you in finding the official website for the company in question.
My advice to you is always do due diligence and make sure you've done your research before you hand over your details or any payment details, and if you're concerned, always step back and look for the official company details, or another company for the job you want completing.
Yes, it may take you a bit of extra time doing all of these little checks, but its better to be safe than sorry.
Its better than being scammed, that's for sure!
